The Engineering Department is a subdivision of the Building Department. The primary duty of the Engineering Department is to provide Professional Engineering services for the Town.

The Planning Board is responsible for the review and approval of all applications concerning site plans, subdivisions and lot line changes; and some applications concerning special use permits, wetlands permits, and tree removal permits.

The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews specific actions taken by town officials, the building inspector or code enforcement officer, and may grant variances - such as building setbacks and lot size, use variances, and special use permits.
