2017-2018 School Tax Bills Have Been Mailed

The 2017-2018 School tax bill has been mailed. If you have not received your tax bill, and you, as opposed to your bank, are responsible to pay your taxes, please call the tax office at 238-4773.October 2, is the last day to pay the first half school bill without penalty. The Tax Office will be open on October 2, 2017 from 7:00am to 7:00pm. If you are paying your tax bill in cash, payments must be exact amount and will only be accepted during regular business hours of 8:45am to 4:30pm. Payments can also be made using our on-line payment system: www.MYNEWCASTLE.ORG The Tax Office accepts United States Post Office postmark as proof of timely mailing. If you are mailing your payment close to the due date, please make certain you see the Post Office affix a postmark to your tax payment. If you have any questions please call the Tax Office 238-4773.

Construction Update

ELQ, the Town’s contractor, will continue installation of new water mains in the downtown Chappaqua Hamlet during the overnight hours of 7:30 pm – 5:30 am Monday through Thursday evenings. The target date for completion of the water main replacement is November 2017. Sewer Main replacement will be on-going over Winter 2017 through Spring 2018 and will be followed by stormwater/ drainage improvements.Residents should be aware that Con Ed is continuing its day time gas main replacement in the Hamlet through December.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, September 12- it will be starting a bit later- at 8 pm- a press release will go out with the timing of the meeting.
