Community Liaisons
The Town of New Castle has created the Office of the Community Liaison to create a more effective avenue for community members to lodge anonymous complaints regarding the New Castle Police Department.

- (1) A liaison for my community.
- (2) Safe interactions between Police and residents with special needs.
- (3) Safe interactions between Police and residents who do not communicate effectively in English.

- Educational Background: PhD and Ms in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University; BS from University of Maryland
- Indicate relevant skills, knowledge and experience:
- Member of George Latimer’s, Westchester Chief Executive, Asian American Advisory Board
- Member of non-profit boards, including: Public Agenda, EcoHealth Alliance, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Burke Neurological Institute (an academic affiliate Weill Cornell Medicine).
- Member of The New School board.
- Why I am interested in volunteering for the Community Liaison position: The Community Liaison is a good position to have for our community.
- The main reason I want to volunteer comes from my experience after a recent serious accident where members of the New Castle police and first responders, Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corp, and bystanders I didn't know from my community all came to my aid. Everyone was incredibly kind and concerned for my welfare. I want to give back and take care of my community as well.
