Rain was an issue last week, and could be an issue this coming week. We cannot pour sidewalks in the rain.
As far as lower King, they will continue to place concrete and continue to install the brick pavers. As far as the alley on lower King, brick pavers were installed.
As far as night work next week, since we are still on hold on King Street pending final NYS DOT approval for the location of traffic light, starting Wed next week they will start the full depth restoration on lower King. The plan is to have the sidewalk complete, so all pedestrians are in the sidewalk and not the road. Starting on thr Village Market side, Then we will close about 20' of roadway from the curb to a little past the center and the remaining 13' of road will be open for vehicles. Next week they will switch to the other side. There will always be a lane open for the vehicles, but not parking on Lower king for the entire time of the full depth restoration work.
As far as Allen Place, they installed the sidewalk. Next week they will excavate & grade for the bluestone.
By Pizza Station, this week they will be excavating the sidewalk on the south side. They will also be excavating for the seating wall & trench drains. The following week they will install rebar for the seating wall then pour the concrete.
As far as South Greeley, on the Starbuck’s side, this week they will pour the sidewalk & install the brick pavers.
On the Bank of America side of South Greeley, this week they will continue to grade for sidewalk & then pour the sidewalks.
As I mentioned above, going up King was are still on hold pending final NYS DOT approval for the location of light pole. We are still hoping to get a final answer in the very near future so we can get the traffic signal footings installed and finish the sidewalks across from Starbucks and Georges Men’s Shop.
