Adam Brodsky
Deputy Town Supervisor

Streetscape Update November 22, 2016

WSP, the Town’s engineering firm has submitted the proposed water and sewer plans to the Town and they are currently under review with a submission to soon follow to the Westchester County Department of Health

As many residents, may recall the roadways in our Downtown are controlled by various entities including the Town, State and County. They all need to be including in the approval process significantly complicating the procedure. Town staff and WSP will be working with the New York State Department of Transportation and Westchester County Department of Public Works this winter with an anticipated completion date for approved construction drawings in late January, 2017.

We hope to go out to bid in March and award the contract in April which is the preferred time to get the best pricing from vendors.

In early March the project will kick off with Coned replacing gas mains Downtown with the New Castle work to follow thereafter.

Starting immediately, I will be on bi-weekly conference calls with the appropriate parties to move the project along and ensure a speedy completion. We are working diligently to adhere to this schedule.
