The New Castle Sustainability Advisory Board (SAB) has launched a series of monthly podcasts called New Castle Going Green. Listen to the latest episode about New Castle’s Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Ordinance  HERE.

In this podcast, Amanda Bayley, CEO and co-founder of Plan it Wild- a sustainable landscaping company, and Kathy Schreiber, a New Castle resident who has been a board member on the SAB for over 7 years, discuss various aspects of our gas-powered leaf blower ordinance as it is set to take effect again on June 1. Amanda shares examples of what landscaping can look like as we move away from fossil fuels, and Kathy shares her thoughts and insights regarding the legislation after the inaugural year in 2021.

These educational podcasts from the SAB aim to provide residents with information about green initiatives and sustainable options you can find around New Castle. Listen to previous podcasts about recycling, leaf blowers, tips to a greener holiday season, electric vehicles, pollinators, and Earth Day, and see a Zoomcast on food scrap recycling, via the Town website: https://www.mynewcastle.org/590/Going-Green-Podcasts.
