We are excited to announce a significant upgrade to our emergency alert system! The Town of New Castle is transitioning from the CodeRed system to CivicReady, a cutting-edge alert service designed to keep our community safer and better informed in times of need.

Through a strategic partnership with CivicPlus, a leading provider of integrated technology solutions for local government, New Castle is embracing state-of-the-art technology to enhance our emergency communication capabilities. CivicReady empowers us to issue urgent notifications, emergency instructions, warnings, and routine communications swiftly and efficiently.

Key Features and Benefits:

    CivicReady enables us to reach you through various channels, including email, text messages, and voicemail. This ensures that you receive crucial information in the way that suits you best, increasing the likelihood that you'll be promptly informed in the event of an emergency.

    In times of local emergencies, CivicReady allows us to deliver immediate, actionable information and instructions. Subscribed residents will benefit from timely updates and guidance, helping you make informed decisions to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe.

How to Subscribe:

Ensuring you receive critical alerts is simple! To subscribe to the CivicReady system, visit our official town website at mynewcastle.org/signup. By subscribing, you play an active role in fortifying our community's resilience and preparedness.  You can also text NCeAlerts to 38276 to quickly sign up for text alerts.

We encourage all residents to sign up for CivicReady to stay informed and connected. In the face of unexpected events, this system will be a vital tool in our efforts to communicate swiftly and effectively with our community.

CodeRed alerts will end on December 1st.  When you subscribe, you will receive alerts from both CodeRed and CivicReady for the next few weeks as we transition to CivicReady.
