NEW: New Castle Day at Playland is July 31st!

Playland LogoWestchester County has introduced “Town Days” at Rye Playland. Each town in Westchester will get their own day at the park with special perks just for their town. New Castle’s Day is Wed, July 31st. With proof of ID, each resident will receive discount coupons when they arrive at the park by going to the Fountain Plaza Administration Building. Discounts include one free mini golf entry, one two for one ride admission, one free beach or pool admission, $1 off of one food value meal and a $5 discount for parking on a return visit to the park.

NEW: Chappaqua Farmers Market – Two new food trucks are rolling in tomorrow!

They’re blowing up on the local food truck circuit and we are so happy they are joining us tomorrow for their first visit of the season. The adorable couple—namesake Leila and her husband Nick—are Westchester-born and bred and are part of a new generation elevating the County’s food scene. If you haven’t had the pleasure of indulging in one of their creations, make a stop at their stall a priority, right after you pick up some cherries from Wright’s Apple Farm and zucchini and escarole from Fort Hill Farm Read more on the blog.

New Castle Community Media Center Photo Competition

NCCMC LogoThank you to all who have entered the New Castle Community Media Center (NCCMC) Digital Photo Competition for the new Town of New Castle website. The deadline to enter is June 30, 2019 for all who still wish to enter. This competition is open to photographers of ALL ages who live, work or go to school in the Town of New Castle. The overall theme for the Town of New Castle website is “Our Town.”

In selecting photos for the website we will look for images that showcase the Town of New Castle and its hamlets (Chappaqua and Millwood), from landmarks and defining features to events and celebrations.

We are looking for digital images that celebrate and highlight the beauty of the Town of New Castle. We are especially interested in colorful and unique images that showcase the following traits: essential aspects of town and hamlet life, the changing seasons of New Castle and memorable New Castle events and celebrations

The competition launched on April 15, 2019. Photos must be submitted in digital format to NCCMC using this link by June 30, 2019.

The winning images will be appear on the Town of New Castle website. All entrants featured on the website will receive photo credit.

Do I have to dress in historic clothing?
No! But 1920’s dress is encouraged.

Shuttle Around Town

shuttle about townNew Castle strives to connect the Town’s three business areas to one another. Join us in supporting our first connection, which win provide shuttle service between Chappaqua Crossing and the Chappaqua Train Station. Shuttle service is free for anyone, and will run during morning peak train hours, evening peak hours, and a lunch time service.
