Construction Website Update
We have posted all of the paid vouchers to the website under the downtown infrastructure project tab.We will posting a change work order section as well. Our first change work order is about additional surveying services we will need to establish ADA compliance with the NYS DOT rules throughout the town’s new sidewalk and especially in the area of pizza station. The amount of the surveying work is $10,380. We expect a corresponding change order from Boswell Engineering who will be providing the sketches for the enhanced sidewalk layout required by NYS DOT for evaluation of our compliance with ADA standards.
There will also be a progress report tab that will contain an easy to view updated exel that tracks to date spending, the percentage complete and tracks our projected end date for completion.
Electric Sign Board
Installation of the electric sign board with the School district is moving forward. The signs have been received, the design of the surround and copper roof has been approved by both the Town Board and the School board. We are currently evaluating bids from fabricators for the metal frame for the signs and the roof. We are also waiting on Con Ed for the relocation of our electric service to the new sign and most importantly the mark out for the location of gas mains in the area.
Summer Interns wanted!
We are looking for a few good interns- five to be exact. If you are a resident who will have just completed their freshman year of college by May/June 2018, and are looking to work in government , we have the position for you! 6 weeks full time or 8-10 weeks part time- $1500 stipend for summer. The Town Board will not be meeting the week of February 20, 2018. Our next meeting we will be meeting on February 27. Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 19 in observance of Presidents Day.
