Mike Martus Internship Opportunities

The Town of New Castle is offering two six-week engineering internships at the Millwood Water Treatment Plant. The internship is available to college engineering students who are residents of New Castle or Pleasantville and have completed their sophomore year of college. The internships were established in memory of Town resident Mike Martus P.E. to honor his assistance in the establishment and operation of the Millwood Water Treatment Plant in its early days. Each internship carries an $1800 stipend funded equally by the Plant Operator, SUEZ Water Environmental Services, Inc. and the Town of New Castle and Village of Pleasantville. Through this cooperative effort, students will learn by applying their engineering knowledge to the overall water treatment process. For further information, please contact John Young, Plant Manager, at 914-944-0036.
