New Castle Administrator’s Report – 6/12/2019
Administrator, New Castle
The Mannheimer Garden is Open
We would like formally announce the opening of the Mannheimer garden in the memory of Eva and Ralph Mannheimer, long time Millwood residents at Gedney park. Thanks to the generosity of their nieces and nephew, a beautifully landscaped area along Gedney pond next to the dock has been installed. The garden was designed by Stephen Coleman who also oversaw the installation. A shout out to Jhonathan Marcondes, and the entire Parks crew, as well as Ike Kuzio, Doug Scott, and Brittany Neider from Parks and members of the Garden Club for help in the planting.
In addition to the beautiful plantings, there are new three benches and three new picnic tables all to be enjoyed due to the generosity of Eva and Ralph’s family. We thank them for entrusting their aunt and uncle’s memory to us.
